Big Family Adventure in Christmasy Stockholm
Just before Christmas last year I met this big family with 4 adult kids who traveled all the way from The US to enjoy Christmas atmosphere in Stockholm. Regardless of the fact that all the children were adults with their own families at home, they were incredibly funny and silly bunch! We conducted the whole shoot in a super chill way, I took them around little streets of Gamla Stan and we also stopped at the Christmas market to enjoy glögg and gingerbread cookies. They didn't make a fuss about the camera and just enjoyed each other's presence in that Christmas jolly mood that turned photos into fun memories.

I love how all family stories are unique. This family traveled all the way from Minnesota to visit their daughter who moved to Stockholm a few years back and the mom booked their photoshoot for right after Christmas to imprint this special visit into timeless photographs.
We took a relaxed walk during a calm evening in Gamla Stan after all Christmas crowds disappeared. And because Christmas markets in Stockholm are only open until December 23 I took the family to vintage candy store in Gamla Stan instead that makes the typical Swedish polka candy and where you can still see how the candy is made right in front of you. After that we walked all the way down to the harbor and took a boat to the other side of the city to cozy up with a hot cup of coffee in one of famous Djurgården cafés. We finished the shoot with a walk through beautifully lit harbor at Strandvägen.

I love how these videos always turn out differently, depending on your energy, your type of relationship and what you enjoy doing as a family. Sometimes, especially during Christmas, I get a lot of shoots in the same location. But because we centre the shoot around who you are as a family, the memories always turn out unique and different. It might be the same location but the look and feel of the final gallery will always be about who YOU are and I absolutely love that.
